Istituto Marangoni London, the prestigious international school of Fashion and design, today hosted an interactive end-of-year show for ten selected BA Fashion Design students. The students presented their collections at this year’s graduating BA Fashion Design runway show, titled “Decoded Identities.”
With Istituto Marangoni London’s strong focus on enhancing and developing creative talent, the BA Fashion Design cohort have examined the concept of identity, exploring personal representations of themselves and their wider place in society, delving from there into a theme which is created and shaped by a unique combination of environmental influences and personal experiences.
Selecting the interactive venue of Frameless in London’s Marble Arch, Istituto Marangoni London provided a platform for the ten final students of the 2024 BA Fashion Design cohort to present six looks as part of the interactive show. The digitally immersive experience utilised floor-to-ceiling screens and reflective floors to showcase the digital content of the process behind the collections.

BA Fashion Design Programme Lead Stelios Geros explained a little about the selection process for the finalists and the Designer of The Year, Tara Adineh.
“For this final project, the BA students have been challenged to turn inwards and closely examine their own sense of identity and how they might communicate this through their collections; using material experimentation, reimagining traditional techniques and harnessing innovative or unconventional silhouettes to do so. At Istituto Marangoni London we strive to foster a culture of looking forward, to embrace new technology and ideas and encourage brave exploration from our students.”
Adi Moaz-Cohen, Director of Education for Istituto Marangoni, added;
“The standard has been exceptionally high, and all of our students have worked hard to get to where they are now, I applaud them all and hope those that have showed tonight make the most of this experience. It was almost impossible to select our finalists and final Designer of the Year Tara Adineh from such a talented cohort; in the end we chose these ten for their innovation, adhering to the original brief, looking closely into the key elements within it and illustrating a clear ability in processes and techniques. Congratulations to them all.”
