War Child UK, a specialist charity for children affected by conflict, this Christmas launches its first e-commerce shop ‘Shop For Good’, teaming up with friends from the creative industry to offer a wide range of gifts and stocking fillers, including bespoke homeware, limited edition prints and virtual gifts, alongside ethical clothing. Sustainable T-shirts and sweatshirts have been created in collaboration with designers including Vivienne Westwood and Bella Freud, and have been worn by supporters including Kate Moss and Fearne Cotton. The new e-shop launches with an iconic design by Bella Freud - a ‘Peace And Love’ Certified Organic Cotton Sweatshirt (£40), printed in the UK with low waste printing tech, and made in a renewable energy powered factory audited for a wide range of social and sustainability criteria. All profits from ‘Shop For Good’ go to War Child’s efforts to support children affected by armed conflict, with a focus on the war in Ukraine.
The ‘Shop For Good’ online store has something for everyone, including hand-drawn Christmas cards by Zoe More O’Ferrell (£6 Pack of 5), hand-poured soy candles (£25), a limited edition (one of 100) signed ‘Never Give Up’ screen prints donated by Anthony Burrill (£100). Every purchase made on ‘Shop For Good’ will help support children who are facing emergency crisis situations, in countries where their lives have been torn apart by war, and will go towards ensuring support for the children who need it most, when they need it most.
For over two decades, War Child has been driven by a single goal - ensuring a safe future for every child living through war. The charity aims to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, delivering life-changing services and support in communities affected by conflicts, keeping children safe and helping them to heal and to learn, for the chance of a better future.

War Child experts are working hard in Ukraine to support these children and their families. The on-site team has been providing a safe space for children to learn and play, creating refuge spaces to support families and children with psychological first aid, and opening up support centers to provide health and school services as well as emergency cash aid and one-to-one support to Ukrainian refugees.
War Child works around the clock in countries including Ukraine, Yemen, and Afghanistan to get children the life-saving aid and psychological care they need, fast. Unfortunately the teams on hand cannot do this without support, which is why War Child has decided to launch its ‘Shop for Good’ initiative this winter - a way to shop their range of exclusive items to help support children affected by conflict.
About War Child UK
War Child UK is the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict. For more than two decades they’ve been driven by a single goal – for no child’s life to be torn apart by war. Their aim is to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out and stay to support them through their recovery – keeping them safe, helping them learn and cope with their experiences, and equipping them with skills for the future. They understand children’s needs, respect their rights, and put them at the center of the solution and campaign for changes to policies and practices to support children in conflict, working with children and young people themselves to demand their rights. Together with their partners they deliver our vital, life-saving work in 15 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and Latin America. In 2019 alone, War Child reached over 100,000 children.
